Road Trip

Road Trip

Vroom, vroom goes the ambulance. 12:30 is our departure time. We are being transferred to Boston for a better look at Joey’s heart via cath.. This will hopefully give us good insight into what is causing all of the fluid. My hope is that he needs just a little tweak to settle into this new circulatory system of his.

Malcolm has slowly been depositing toys in Joey’s hospital room, I just brought all of them to the car…and the realization of no goodbyes, our family being separated, had me in tears. I never thought this would be us, and then with that comes the gratitude of this being us.

This month, last year, I had a plain old anatomy scan and found out we were having another boy. Hours after that I received a call that there were a couple of “red flags” on his brain and heart. I had no idea what was in store…

  1. You are a brave, strong, loving mom. I am so proud of you and your journey with Joey. Your family is in my constant thoughts and prayers. You will be in good, loving hands in Boston again.

  2. Please let us know if we can help in any way – chores around the house, errands, anything. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts your way.
